One Life To Live : Farrah Fath’s Acting

Before everything else I just have to say that I love Farrah Fath (Gigi). She’s “my” girl. I think she’s cool. BUT, her acting is not up to par in soap’s history. Right now her storyline is being a Mother to a kid battling leukemia. To make matters worse, the only person who supposedly can save the kid is her sister who is blackmailing her. Break up with the Man she loves aka the father of her child, to save her child’s life. A bone marrow for the Father. How sick is that?

It’s a sick, and heartbreaking storyline at the same time. As much as I would love to host a party, and give a toast to Farrah Fath’s acting, I can’t. She’s not Laura Wright (Carly, GH) who absolutely killed it when Michael got shot. Rebecca Herbst (Elizabeth, GH) was ok too when Jake was kidnapped. Bree Williamson (Jess/Tess/Bess) was absolutely brilliant when Nash died. Farrah Fath on the hand has left me scratching my head. Her acting as a Mother caught between a life and death situation is weak.

The way she was telling Brody her predicament today made me want to turn the TV off. Not because I was so affected by her emotion. It’s because to me she was acting like someone just took a candy from her. Her delivery of lines can rival a 3 yr old who hates the word “NO”. Her facial expression is childish at best. I wanted to reach out into my monitor and shake the emotions out of her. This story is a brilliant material for any Daytime actress. Unfortunately, Farrah is not grabbing it with all her might.

We can argue that Farrah Fath is not a mother in real life therefore she doesn’t have any experience to draw it from. Bree Williamson hasn’t lost a husband either but she was wonderful when her character Jessica watched her husband died. And I can bet my life that if this story landed on her lap, she would be great as well. I’m sorry to say that Farrah Fath hasn’t done anything to impress me yet with this leukemia storyline.

Farah Fath(Gigi, OLTL) and Kirsten Storms(Maxie, GH) used to play BFF Mimi and Bell, respectively, on Days Of Our Lives over there at NBC. Not only were they bestfriends on-screen, they were bestfriends off-screen as well. They were actually roommates at one point. They were fine living together, not fights whatsoever. Until Kirsten bought up the idea of moving to another place. Farrah didn’t want to. They had an argument which ended of no communications for months. No phone calls or anything. But all is well that ends well. Now they’re back to being BFF again. This time is different because they’ve grown up and matured. Farrah said they’ve been friends since she was 15 yrd. old. She can’t see herself not being friends with Kristen for the rest of her life. Awwwww. :)

One Life To Live : Adrianna VS Gigi

March 27, 2008 by Dexie

oltl-icon.pngYah know, I used to like Adrianna. She used to be so sweet and nice. So different from her evil mother. When did she become such a bitch and snotty like Dorian? What did Gigi ever do to her anyway?

Well besides being Rex’s ex, and possibly being Rex’s baby-Mama. Gigi has never made an effort to “steal” Rex from Adrianna. Rex is the one insinuating himself in Gigi and Shane’s life as far as I’m concern.

She told Dorian, she doesn’t want people taking advantage of her sweetness anymore. That’s fine and dandy but it’s Dorian who did all the bad things against her. Not Gigi, certainly not Shane. Someone can stand for herself without treating other people like crap. And that’s exactly what Adrianna is doing to Gigi.

It’s like, she went to Paris, got some bangs, a few chic tops and all of a sudden, she’s a bitch on heat and wheels. Geez.

Someone needs to put her down from her pedestal. And the Gigi and Viki team would do exactly that. I’m sure Dorian is going to love the “teaming” up though. She lives for anything crass and immature.
