See, unlike other soaps fans, I can like both without hating the other. Hmm, maybe not in the case of Sam and Liz. I can’t stand Liz..heeh. Anyhoo, Carly and Kate. Each character could irritate me up the ying yang but that just adds the likeable factor even more in my book. Kinda like friends. You want to strangle them sometimes for doing stupid things but in the end you’ll support them no matter what. Well, except for when they start sleeping with your ex or current partner.. Hehe. Now that’s another story.

Ok, back to Carly and Kate. Why I like them both.

Carly, I seriously never liked this character. Not during Sarah Brown’s tenure or Tamara Braun either. She’s actually the reason why I endured Reva Shayne from CBS’s Guiding Light because I didn’t want to watch her self-righteous scheming behind every day. Ironically, Laura Wright played Cassie in GL during those times too. Not until Laura Wright took over Carly did I finally understand what makes this character tick. Laura’s interpretation made sense to me. I saw the heart underneath all the screaming, yelling, scheming, manipulation, childishness and hypocrisy. Her predecessors were great but Laura is Carly to me. Yesterday showed once again why I love this woman. She loves flowers and junk food. That is so me. Sure diamonds are nice and Jax could very well shower her in swarovski crystals  or Tiffany’s everyday but he knows his wife loves them cheesy things. I love my Flaming Hot Cheetos myself. And Hot Wings which happens to be Carly’s favorite as well. I like a woman who can wear heels and not afraid to eat junk food.

Laura Wright (Carly, GH) was probably one of the few attendees at the 35th Daytime Emmy’s who didn’t suffer from the heat. Everybody were complaining about how scorching hot the day was. Having said that, I was so disappointed when I saw her on stage wearing a tube white dress. Especially right next to Anthony Geary (Luke Spencer, GH) who’s wearing a suit, and Sarah Brown (Claudia, GH) who looked devilishly bewitching in her black and white corset gown.

The white tube dress was refreshing, but it looked too casual for an award show. It looks like one of those Juicy Couture smocked beach cover-up dress. If the length was long, like all the way to her ankles, with a balloon skirt, it might have looked more appropriate for an award show. Know what I mean?

I love Laura Wright, and she’s always wearing really nice gown, with summer prints and colors most of the time but this one was a total miss. It was so out of place :(. I like her studded stilettos though

Jason and Carly were in their element today. Carly was as usual brilliant in getting in anyone’s face. Today was Kate’s day. Look I like Kate but she really needs to stay away from Carly. As a mother I understand how Carly is feeling towards her. She never liked her to begin with. Now she’s a huge part in Michael’s coma. No matter how you twist and turn things, Kate picked Michael up and brought him to the warehouse. I’m surprised she’s walking around feeling all high and mighty. I just wouldn’t be able to. I know I know, she didn’t actually fired the gun. But not only did she bring Michael there, Sonny saved her ass. She should feel guilty more than Sonny.

BTW, WTF was she wearing? I’m really not impressed. Carly’s dress on the other hand was gorgeous. Her hair is looking all bouncy too, don’t you think? Anyhooo, after their spat at Metro Court, Carly went straight to Jason to vent. She was going on an on about how she could’ve had her. Snapped her in two. I’d be cheering Carly on if I was there. Apparently, Jason would be too. Carly was like, “ooohhh I wanted to throw her out of my hotel“. Jason said, “I wish you did”.

Carly was surprised by Jason’s reaction. “Really? you’re not mad or anything?”. Jason’s reaction was like a 180, wasn’t it. Steve Burton and Laura Wright were on the mark. I do like Jason. Especially when he’s with Carly, Spinelli or Sam. Even with Claudia.  I only dislike him when he’s with Elizabeth…LOL. He turns into an annoying wimp when he’s with Liz, heh.

Anyway, yes, Jason and Carly were fun today.

Laura Wright(Carly, GH) admitted to SID that her husband found out she owns about 75 pairs of jeans. Holy Moly jeans. You gotta admit, she looks good in jeans. Remember when she "died" and crossed over her idea of heaven? She was wearing a nice pair of jeans with red heels. Hot Mama Carly!

As usual, Jason is stuck in between the battling parents of Michael. Carly is understandably angry with Sonny so she doesn’t want him near Michael. Right now she really doesn’t care how Sonny is himself feeling guilty for what happened. Jason, being so good in his role of being Sonny and Carly’s mediator told them to think of what Michael would want. They can’t change what happened. They all know Michael would want Sonny next to him. Carly hesitantly agreed but she knows Jason is right. So she told Sonny to will their son to live. Sonny’s words are gospel to Michael. He’ll do what his Father wants him to so. Well except mess with guns and acting like a little Mom Gansta’, heh :).

I have a suspicion of how this thing is going to turn out. Dylan Cash(Michael) has been let go to recast the role. Michael Corinthos is going to be older when he finally wakes up from his coma which rumor has it that it might at the end of this year. So where am I going? This whole, “Michael would want Sonny here” is I’m guessing a premonition of what’s going to happen in the future. Click “read more” to read my prediction

Laura Wright showed up in Port Charles as Carly, sporting a flattened hair, if I remember it right. Do you? She was in that train, hiding from Manny. Carly was still crazy back then. Well she’s still crazy today…hehe. I mean crazy, in the medical way. However they want to call it. Anyhooo, back in 2004 when she was still Princess Cassie in Guiding Light(CBS), she decided to chop her glorious hair off. I was shocked and horrified. Not because she looked bad. Quite the opposite. I was green with envy coz she looked beautiful in a Bob haircut also. Some people really are blessed Here’s a picture of Laura Wright in bob hairstyle :

I confess, I haven’t been really interested with what’s going on at Port Charles. But I did like the interaction between Jason and Michael. Seriously, that boy needs spanking. And having all his toys taken out of his room. or I don’t know, get in a school bus instead of a limo. Or wash his mouth with soap. It’s kinda sad that Jason has to give all the lectures. All Sonny does is, “you listen to me, I’m your Father, you do what I tell you to do…” And then that’s it. He goes off to chase another woman in his life.

The confrontation between Sam and Carly was phenomenal. Laura Wright and Kelly Monaco were soooooooooooo good. Everytime these two are biting each other with their scenes, you have no choice but to pay attention. Two calibers that General Hospital has been lucky with. It was beyond awesome. Kelly Monaco gave it as good as she got from Laura Wright. The controlled disbelief emotion from Carly, the wicked and taunting Sam, oh my. But then, Laura’s Carly went to confront Rebecca’s Elizabeth and it all went down from there……… Read more
