Laura Wright showed up in Port Charles as Carly, sporting a flattened hair, if I remember it right. Do you? She was in that train, hiding from Manny. Carly was still crazy back then. Well she’s still crazy today…hehe. I mean crazy, in the medical way. However they want to call it. Anyhooo, back in 2004 when she was still Princess Cassie in Guiding Light(CBS), she decided to chop her glorious hair off. I was shocked and horrified. Not because she looked bad. Quite the opposite. Within a week of quitting Guiding Light, All My Children Powers that Be did not waste any time and snagged Ricky Paull Goldin right away. OH MY Gosh! Ricky is crossing over to ABC’s All My Children to play Jake Martin. Halleluyah. There couldn’t be a better time to do this. With Uncle Rob Gardner showing up in town, Tad will need all the reinforcements he needs. Sorry Donna, but this news makes me happy. Live I’ve said before, I was an avid watcher of GL and would still check on it from time to time but have pretty much stopped being an avid fan for years. It started when Danny and Michelle left the canvas. Now that Ricky has moved to ABC, my afternoon viewing has gotten more interesting. Now I’m going to exhaust myself in thinking which woman he should be paired with .

Slated time for Ricky’s first airdate hasn’t been confirmed but most probably April. YAY!

Major shake ups in CBS Soapsdom. Ricky Paull Godlin ’s(Gus Aituro, GL) has made his announcement of not returning to Guiding Light. After weeks of rumor regarding his exit, Ricky wrote to his fans :

“I want you to be one of the first to know that I’m planning on leaving Guiding Light when my contract expires in a couple of weeks,” Goldin wrote. “Gus has been a huge part of my life and I will really miss portraying him and bringing this character to life for you.”

“My seven years on Guiding Light have been a wonderful experience. Now it’s time for a new adventure, a new chapter in my life,” Goldin reflected. “I will especially miss working with Beth Ehlers, since it doesn’t get any better than Gus and Harley.” *SOURCE
