Kent and Minae  had a great event for everyone.    There were Q&A’s, contest and all around girl talk.  Various actors came by to say their hello’s to everyone – some that stopped by were Sonya Eddy, Ignacio, Jason Gerhardt and Kimberly McCollough, to name a few.   Kent and Minae were great hostess and were very sweet to meet.

FCW 2008 ~ Memories, Fun and Friendships 

That pretty much sums up FCW 2008 for myself and I feel like I can safely say for my friends also.  It is a time for us to see the actors of GH, that is a given, but it is also a time for all of us to be in one spot and have fun.   The memories we made that weekend were some that we will never forget.

General Hospital FCW is one crazy weekend where we all converged in Studio City at the Sportman’s Lodge.  If I remember right there were around 28 events this year over 5 days.  Wheesh!  Out of those events,  I attended 10 of the them.   They were Kickoff, “Girls Night out” with Kent and Minae, Bradford Anderson, Greg Vaughan, Luncheon, Jason Gerhardt,  Derk Cheetwood, Past Cast, Sebastian Roche and Brandon Barash.   Here is a summary on a few of them and then a few I will go into more detail on a couple of others.

Aidan’s love flashcards worked. Greenlee has a heart after all, heh. Anyhooo, Greenlee called Aidan so they could talk at her apartment. Once Aidan got inside they has small talk. Where’s Jake? Oh look at that painting, blah blah balh. Greenlee then pulled out her own flashcards. I, Forgive, You. Then they kissed and kissed some more. She needs a little bit more time. Aidan said he’s got plenty. AiLee is back together but they’ll take it slow. Aidan said as long as Greenlee loves him he’ll wait for her. Greenlee told him she loves him. It was really romantic. Darn they’re so hot together. The room was oozing with pent up sexuality and romance.

Then Greenlee said she needs to clear her head. She loves Aidan but right now she wants some kind of refresher. She’s sailing on her boat. Aidan told her to go. Clear her mind and then come back to him.

Well, there goes a 5 minute fairytale. But wait, just because Ryan remembers loving Greenlee doesn’t mean she’ll take her back with open arms. She may not. Like they always say, AiLee ain’t over until the fat lady sings. *crosses fingers*

Remember the years General Hospital used to host the Nurse’s Ball? I loved those 3 days celebration. I looked forward to those days. It was so fun and refreshing watching the characters performing. Sister soap Port Charles would mix and mingle with the General Hospital characters for a good cause. I remember the dance shows, the singing and Lucy Coe driving everybody nuts because she wants everything to be perfect.

Wasn’t Nurse’s Ball supposed to raise money and awareness for HIV/AIDS? You’d think with Robin’s permanent status on GH they’d bring the Nurse’s Ball back. I really hope they’d bring it back. It was a welcome break from all the daily drama and violence that encompasses Port Charles. The damn town certainly needs a lot of break from all the violence that has gone on. Don’t you think? This would also bring  Lucy back as the organizer.

If Greenlee’ unforgiving icy heart doesn’t melt from what Aidan did today I don’t know what will. Oh wait, I know, it’s called Ryan Lavery. Anyhooo, Aidan left Greenlee’s apartment once he got done helping Jake move in. At ryan’s house, where everybody were hauled up to support Annie, Kendall convinced Aidan to go back to Greenlee’s apartment. It should be him with her not Jake. So Aidan did as Kendall insisted and showed up at Greenlee’s doorstep. With flashcards.

Pardon me if I can’t remember what the cards said exactly so I’ll just paraphrase the whole thing. “Words are not enough so this would be better. You are the woman that I love, Always and Forever. I hope I am the man that you love too“. Something like that. It was really beautiful. And I think Greenlee’s heart was melting too. I mean how could it not. Especially with Aidan, looking all hot and sexy in front of her. British accent or not they guy is gorgeous. Hehehe :).

Ingo Rademacher (Jax) confirmed to SID Magazine that all the rumors of him leaving General Hospital are completely wrong. Yes he his fiancee are having this baby month but that doesn’t mean he’s taking off. He’ll have a week off when the baby is born but GH can shoot around it. Then around Christmas, he’ll take a break which he always does.

Ingo said he’s having a lot of fun with Laura Wright (Carly). They have a good story coming up and thinks it will continue to be a good story between them throughout. Everything is great with GH and he’s not going anywhere.

There you go fans. Stop worrying. Geez. Besides, GH knows better than to get rid of Ingo or Jax for that matter. I can imagine a hurricane of angry letters and e-mails addressed to the PTB’s if that ever happens. :).

I almost forgot about Kristen Storms (Maxie, General Hospital) at the 35th Daytime Emmy’s. A black studded and pleated on the bust with wide sash belt cocktail dress. I thought it was gorgeous. It has that classic 30’s throwback, don’t you think? I absolutely love the silhouette. This dress worked with her petite frame perfectly. I’m glad she didn’t wear any necklace coz it would’ve clashed with the studded strapless top of the dress. So good choice Kristen :).

Good thing this Calvin Klein dress Melissa Claire Egan (Annie, AMC) wore at the 35th Daytime Emmy’s was dark brown. Why? Well, the “boob sweat” she divulged to Rebecca Budig she was experiencing would have been visible if this was white..LOL. I love the tank top style, then the chiffon skirt that flows and the soft pleating at the hem. And it’s sheer enough to see a trace of her legs. Really sexy. It matched her well tanned skin also. Oh, and love the gray mary jane pumps. Gor-Geous!

WOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO! We Won, We Won!! General Hospital won Best Drama. Take that The Young & The Restless who kept reminding everyone how they’re still #1. Pffft. Anthony Geary won Best Actor, and GH won Best Drama. Woohooo.

Now I feel so much better…LOL.

Sarah Brown (Claudia, GH) opted for a black cocktail dress to match her dark hair kinda like her Claudia Zacchara character.

Rebecca Budig (Greenlee, AMC) surprised me with this mod birds print top and black denim jeans outfit. She stepped away from her usual cocktail dress ensembles. Rebecca always looks great. I love her pale pink metallic peep-toe pumps as well.

Claire Coffee playfully paired an orange belt with her black cocktail dress and a subtle color of orange pumps. I’m very impressed.
