All My Children Weekly Round Up

Here’s a round-up of what went on at All My Children last week(July 14 - 18) :

• Frankie paid hooker Randi to give him the time of the day “to talk” except Randi played if off as Frankie wants a piece of her.
• Adam bribes Petey Cortland.
• Zach questions Annie who fainted from the pressure of lying too much.
• Annie is pregnant.
• Annie threatened Greenlee to stay away from Ryan.
• JR points out alcoholic tendencies from Colby.
• Tad and Ryan lamented about life at the Yacht Club pool playing some kind of car race.
• Jesse and Angie had an afternoon quickie :). Jesse proudly says his wife is a “freak”.
• Erica Is FREE, at last!!

One Life To Live : 40th Anniversary Update

I haven’t had a chance to discuss what’s going on with at Llanview to commemorate it’s 40th Anniversary. Technically, next week is then the full 2-day special starts but things have been happening with some characters. Like Bo. With his broker heart, he went to Texas to somehow comfort his demons. Drinking problem and all. Asa’s ghost has appeared. Apparently, his soul hasn’t completely crossed over yet coz he just keeps getting in trouble. So what does he do? He’s mocking Bo of course. Well, Nora warned him about Lindsay didn’t she? Bo wouldn’t listen. Now even Asa is saying ‘I told you so’.

Rex tried to stop Bo from getting in the horse, but he didn’t listen and now they’re both electrocuted and on the way to the hospital. Bo and Rex will go back to when One Life To Live started. Like really really classic One Life To Live.

Next week, Viki sees dead people.. again :)

All My Children : How Weird Was Annie?

Ryan asked, “Why were you with Zach when you said you were going to work?”. Annie says, “I can’t remember anything”. C’mon. Is it really that obvious to the Pine Valley residents how their characters can be stupid and oblivious sometimes?

And then, before Jake could give her the news that she’s pregnant, she rails on Greenlee even though the latter was actually visiting her. She should’ve heard Kendall when she suggested they ship Annie off somewhere. I might join Kendall on that petition. Greenlee was right. Annie has some Richie on her. Talk about psychotic genes.

Let’s see how this would turn out. Annie miscarries the baby, goes to jail for killing her own brother. Greenlee and Ryan get back together to raise Emma and then have their own baby. AWESOME!! Hehe :)

General Hospital : Lucky & Sam Faked It

Lucky and Sam faked it today. Not “that”. They faked a fight. See, Lucky thought it’s a bad idea for Sam to get involved with the special task force to find out the illegal drugs being sold to unsuspecting families. Sam said she could handle it. She ran so many scams in her life she can very well get herself on the inside. Not to mention she has experience in maneuvering boats, and ships. Lucky’s concern was that no one would believe a girlfriend’s Cop which will put Sam’s life in danger.

The next thing you know, Lucky visits Liz in the hospital to explain to her that he can’t keep the boys coz he has to work. Sam walked in and misinterpreted the whole thing. With a lot of witnesses, Sam yelled at Lucky for always making time for Liz but not her. How she was really just a rebound when they got a divorce. It was so convincing to everyone except me. I sniffed it as soon as Sam got out of the elevator…LOL. So seemingly, Lucky and Sam broke up. Sam’s last line was to Liz, “he’s all yours”.

Liz on the other hand not wanting to be in a drama sought Nik’s help. Everything is bygones. All she wants is for Lucky to be happy with Sam but she thinks it’s too late after Sam’s outburst in the hospital.

Sam went home and Lucky was sitting in her couch. She jumped onto his lap and they celebrated a well acted “break up”. They were so cute together. They don’t ever want to fight like that again but it had to be done. Alrighty then. Operation Task Force, here we come.

I’m actually giddy to see Sam kickin’ some ass in the future.

General Hospital : Sam Is Back | Thank God!

First of all, who knew Sam could speak Spanish? ;) . Sam visited Nik’s clinic then a woman with a sick daughter showed up. She was speaking in Spanish and only Sam could understand it. She translated everything to the Dr. Hunter, Nurse Nadine and Nikolas. Funny how GH made it look like Sam speaks Spanish yet we couldn’t hear the 2 women talking. I would’ve love to hear Sam speak in another language.

Anyhoo, Sam was distraught, understandably that a little girl could’ve died because of some illegal drug circulating out there. She suggested a special task force to investigate on things. Lucky said the PCPD is working on it but there’s not enough cash to fund it. Nikolas said he’ll fund it. So I’m guessing Sam will head the task force? She should. Sam is an ass kicking chick in heels. this should be a good empowering storyline for her. Mac should hire full time. She could kick anyone’s behind at PCPD, including Lucky :).

How much do you bet these illegal drugs are connected to the Russian Mob family that’s about to infiltrate Port Charles? More violence but hey, Sam will put a stop to it. Hope so anyway.

Soap Opera’s Formula For A Doomed Relationship

People think “oh Soaps, it’s all drama”. Yes it is but what they don’t realize is, there’s a science to it also. There’s always an experiment going on year after year after year. Sometimes it doesn’t work, sometimes it does. And one of the things that work is the formula for a doomed relationship.

It’s not when someone slept with another person other than their partner, respectively. Nope. See, that’s part of the experimentation process. Someone will sleep with another person, either in the brink of death or just plain stupidity. Sometimes they’re forgiven and life goes on, sometimes not. But most of the times, it will be forgotten and forgiven.
