After Lynn Herring (Lucy, GH), and Jon Lindstrom (Kevin, GH) As The World Turns from CBS hired Stuart Damon to add into their cast. Stuart Damon is known in the daytime community as Allan Quartermaine in General Hospital. The character died during the Metro Court hostage storyline. He lingered for a bit as a ghost but he hasn’t been seen in months. I guess Allan has finally entered the gates of heaven .

No reports yet on what character Stuart Damon will be playing in Oakdale but I’m sure we’ll find out about it before his end of August air play.

Well, what can I say? Welcome back to daytime Stuart. I’m glad you found a job. GH’s lost is ATWT’s gain. Sorta like when ATWT let go of Martha Byrne then GH picked her up as the Mayor’s wife.

If you noticed, after the “honeymoon” stage, we haven’t really seen Brot & Taylor (JR Martinez & Beth Ehlers, All My Children) together. They were on last week to sort of break up. Maybe that’s a way for the writers to ease tension on the show. So how did this supposed “feud” started?

It started with Beth Ehler’s words when she did an interview with Blog Talk Radio’s Stardish show. On that show, Beth Ehlers expresses her frustration for her lack of story and the fact that she’s a seasoned actor paired with a non-actor.

“As many times as I would casually try to go into my boss’s office and say, ‘Uh, you are going to start integrating me, right?’ When you’ve been doing this as long as I’ve been doing it, you know how it’s supposed to be done. But you can’t tell you bosses that because it’s like any other job in the world, you can’t know more than your boss because they hate you for it,” Ehlers explained. “And so you have to be careful when you go in that you don’t tell somebody how to do their job. And I wanted to scream at people. I wanted to go in and say, ‘Hello, you’re burying me here. You’re making this really hard. First you give me somebody who, God bless him, I love JR but he’s not an actor.’ And so that’s hard enough with somebody who… it’s going to be a long time before he gets out of second gear. And I’m constantly having to hedge my performance cause I can’t be doing Shakespeare while he’s doing something else.”

Carlotta Vega, Mother of Cristian Vega and Antonio Vega, played by Patricia Mauceri on One Life To Live has been recasted. The reason that’s being released is that Patricia apparently spoke out about her character Carlotta’s reaction to the upcoming gay storyline. Carlotta has a small participation in the storyline and she is supposedly supportive of the gay people. 2 rumors are coming out. though.

First  rumor is that Patricia feels Carlotta’s acceptance is compromising  her own personal beliefs.

Second rumor is that Patricia felt that her character wouldn’t have reacted that way so easily. Understandably since she has played the character for 14 years. I think she knows how Carlotta’s mind works. Long time viewers should know that Carlotta Vega is probably the only conservative character in Llanview.

Because of this issue, Carlotta has been recasted. Saundra Santiago who actually played Isobello Santi in 2004 is returning to Llanview as another character, as Carlotta Vega.

There’s also another rumor that the show sort of forced Patricia to leave the show by imposing the gay storyline on her. Patricia has apparently been unhappy with how her story has been written out in the last couple of years. To add insult, the Vega’s diner burned down and became “Bon Jour Cafe”. Rumor has it that including Carlotta in the gay storyline is the story that will finally push Patricia’s button which allegedly is what the show wanted. OI VEY!

Wallace Kurth, aka Ned Ashton in General Hospital  is reprising her Days of Our Lives character Justin Kiriakis this summer. So I guess that means Ned Ashton is not going to be visiting the Quartermaine family anytime soon. With Emily’s long lost twin in town, you’d think all the Quartermaine would all be flocking the mansion to start bugging her to join their “clique” heh. But I digress.

The first time Wallace played Justin Kiriakis on DOOL was on February 1981. He stayed there until February 1991. Wallace starts his return as Justin Kiriakis in Salem on August 10th.

Well at least Ned, I mean Wallace has a job, right?

Are you wondering why Greenlee Smythe is suddenly the topic of some Pine Valley residents, namely Ryan, Zach, and Kendall? It started when Ryan received champagne flute set from Greenlee. But isn’t Greenlee dead? Umm. well that’s debatable but all fingers point to NO, Greenlee isn’t dead.

See, when they found a body which Kendall and Ryan identified, they never actually looked at the body. The idiots Ryan and Kendall said they don’t want to remember Greenlee as a corpse. Instead, they assumed it was her because of the engagement ring that was taken from the body. Greenlee’s ex-husband for like 2 months (?) was the one who lifted the blanket off and saw the body. He never said if it was Greenlee though.

Congratulations to Erin Torpey, ex-Jessica Buchanan (OLTL) for tying the knot with Hamilton von Watts. Erin and Hamilton got married on April 18th in a beach ceremony at Malibu California. They wedding was very intimate with only their family and closest friends among the attendees.

Erin Torpey was quoted in saying she married her bestfriend. Congratulations and Best Wishes to the newlyweds.

Guiding Light is about to end. If another network doesn’t pick it, that means there’s going to a lot of unemployed talented daytime actors. One of them is Gina Tognoni. She plays Dinah Marler in Guiding Light. She was a recast but she made that character her own that she won 2 consecutive Emmy’s for it.

Before she became Dinah Marler, she played Kelly Kramer in One Life To Live. So it would make sense if she comes back to her stomping grounds, right? I think it’s about time of the Kramer Women comes home especially now that Aunt Dorian is heartbroken due to Ray Montez going back to Columbia.

Soap Central reports that 3 soaps are fighting to get Gina Tognoni. The Young and the Restless, Bold and The Bold and the Beautiful, and One Life To Live. I love Gina Tognoni so I hope she picks OLTL. It would be nice to see her again with a son. Remember, Kelly left town with a new baby. This could open up for Kevin Buchanan to come back as well.

It’s that time of the year again when Anthony Geary takes his annual summer vacation. That means his alter-ego Luke Spencer is leaving town, Again. After finding out that Ethan is his son with Holly, Luke leaves his other son, Lucky, who happens to be feeling perturbed beyond oblivion after the new revelations in their lives.

Luke’s “exit” this time around involves some manipulations from Helena. So he’s not just gallivanting around like what his family thinks. Luke Spencer leaves on June 10th and will be back in Port Charles around September. That’s about after he receives  (probably) another Emmy for Best Actor. It must be nice.. .

Kelly Monaco (Sam McCall, General Hospital) successfully premiered her “Peepshow” gig in Vegas back on April. I know I’m kind of late with the pictures but I’ve just found them so here they are. Kelly looked gorgeous in her red long dress. She’s a petite lady yet she pulled it off just fine.

Finally Jessica comes out of hiding from Bess’ head. Thanks to Viki who “summoned” her inner Jean to convince Bess to let Jessica face the truth. Bess wanted to know how Viki and the rest of the family will help Jessica deal with the fact that not only her husband is dead, she has to tell her other daughter Bree, that her sister is dead and is not Chloe.

Viki convinced Bess that Jessica will be hurt but she will have to face it. She can’t keep hiding  from everything. Jessica finally came out and started remembering what happened on the day she had her baby. She remembered going to the cabin, going into labor, and the presence of Nikki who helped her have the baby. Then she remembered how the baby didn’t cry. Viki painfully encouraged her to say the words for her to be completely comprehend and accept everything. Jessica refused for a bit but in the end she said the words. “My baby is dead, my baby is dead”.

Great performances from Erika Sleizak and Bree Willamson. Especially Bree who has been to lucky to be given such hard materials and successfully pull them all off with flying colors. It was heartbreaking to watch but fulfilling at the same time because the acting from both Erika and Bree were OUTSTANDING!!
