General Hospital : The Carly & Jax Dilemma

Now that we’ve settled down knowing Carly and Baby Josslyn are doing quite well considering what Claudia just put them through, let’s tackle the ever so exciting and dramatic marriage of Jax and Carly.

Yesterday, when Carly held Josslyn at the end of the show, Carly told her daughter Daddy made a huge mistake. Is it that huge for Carly not to get over it? In Carly’s world, yes. And Yes it is huge. Jax did not tell that Cladia and Jerry worked together to hit Sonny which unfortunately put Michael into a coma. Jax defense was that they just got back together when he found out, then she got pregnant, a delicate one at that, he didn’t want her stressed and lose the baby. While that may be an honorable reason to keep the truth from Carly, let’s not forget the fact the Jax’s brother was involved in this whole matter. Not to mention that before Jax found out, he and Carly made a pact that they’re starting fresh. They will tell each other everything. No manipulations, no lies, everything will be out on the table.

I can’t recall anything that Carly had done that would break that promise ever since they made it. Jax on the other hand has a few. This Michael shooting info is just one of them. Sure Carly kept secrets from Jax to protect Jason and Sonny before. That’s the proverbial word, “before”. Before they made the pact to divulge everything that’s going on.

Let’s go back to Jerry’s involvement. Let’s face it, no matter how noble Jax’s excuse was for not telling Carly, his one main reason is to protect Jerry. He knew Sonny and Jason would’ve been on him. Jerry could bomb a whole town and Jax would still cover for him.

Which bring us to the situation they are now where Carly is letting Jason and Sonny cover up for Michael in his possible involvement with Claudia’s murder/disappearance. Jax wants them to go to the Cops. Let Michael take responsibilities for his actions. Carly thinks Michael had been through so much, let Jason and Sonny handle it. Yah know, a couple of years ago, I would be on TEAM Jax. Even now I know he’s got a point. However, let’s just put it out there coz if the situation was reversed and Jerry was involves in this Claudia mess, what do you think Jax would do? At all costs, he will protect and cover up for his brother, that’s for sure.

So what’s going to happen with Carly and Jax’s marriage? I think they’ll be fine. Carly will have drama for a few weeks, or 2 months but in the end, she and Jax will get back together. Maybe in time for Josslyn’s christening . *knock on wood*
