  Well, looks like I don’t have to worry about getting home in time to watch this year’s Daytime Emmy’s……No offense to Peter Bergeman or Tony Geary (who only works half the year and his character hasn’t changed in over 20 years), but I am really tired of seeing their names every year! You can’t tell me that there aren’t other equally qualified actors for that catagory. ABC has some extremely talented actresses and not one of them was nominated? You are right, this is BS!!!!!!!

  I know right. If I’m an ABC star, what’s the point of attending? Spending all that money for a gown when I’m just going to sit all night to watch Y&R win.

  When life long fans have made their point that MULTIPLE actors have been missed this year, there HAS TO BE something wrong with the current system for the Day Time Emmy Nominations!! How do we explain that GH’s heart and soul actor who pours his heart into every single scene was not nominated..who else am I talking about..SONNY CORINTHOS!!! Let me follow that up by his right hand man JASON having that amazing scene when he lost his sister followed by other scenes with his mother that were amazing!! And it keeps going..what about Nikolas with his amazing work throughout the whole thing with Emily!! My sister watches Y&R along ; we watch OLTL and GH together ; she always tells me what a huge difference in the actors and the show’s storylines ; she has said numerous times that CBS soaps do NOT CLOSE to OLTL and no where NEAR GH!!! I am truly disappointed by the lack of recognition to these amazing actors/actresses from OLTL and GH!! If this is not fixed soon, we the fans are going to pay when these fine actors decide to go elsewhere and really shine and get the recognition they deserve..since DAYTIME isn’t giving it to THEM!!

  All I can say is that OLTL actors were totally robbed!!! Kathy Brier and John-Paul deserve Daytime Emmys hands down. I am totally appalled with the nominations this year!!!!

  So what do you guys think for best drama series…I think for sure it’ll be one of the 2 abc soaps..they can’t take THAT from them!!

  Once again, OLTL is treated like the ugly stepchild of soaps - only one acting nomination? Brian Kerwin has created an appealing new love interest for Erika Slezak, but what about Catherine Hickland, Kathy Brier, Kristen Alderson, etc., etc. Also, there has been no mention in the soap press of 2008 being the 40th anniversary of OLTL. We keep hearing about Y&R’s 35th, and GH’s 45th - oh well, what else is new? As usual, OLTL has been robbed. Maybe we’ll all get a shock, and they’ll win best show.

  I won’t be watching this year for certain. As outstanding as General Hospital and their actors have been this year and thats all the nods they get. Can we say rigged.

  THiS TRULY crapp!!!! YOUNG & RESTLESS VOTED FOR ALL OF DEM AWARDSZ!, THATS NOT EVEN FAIR, THEY NOT EVEN GIVING ALL THESE OTHER WONDERFUL SOAPS A CHANCE WITH THERE PEOPLE, DAYS SHOULD BE LISTED A LOT OF TIMES AND SO SHOULD ALL THE REST, NOT JUS YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS!!!

  OLTL was so robbed. The storylines have been amazing this year and i was never that big a fan of the show till this year.I love Tony Geary and am i huge fan of GH but theres no way he deserved to get nominated over maurice or steve. So not even gonna bother to watch it this year

  All the people who determined these nominations are clearly RETARDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ABC SOAPS are the best, I’ve been watching them for over 25 years. I have on occasion caught moments of the other soaps and they just seem 2 look some much more FAKE!!!!

  I really think all my children has been robbed for years.That soap is my favorite it never gets nominations for favorite soap.

  Finally a nob to Days of Our Lives. It is about time. I do agree that one actor from each show should be nominated then broken down, but if you look above that didnt happen. Major votes went for Y&R in the lead cat’s as well as ATWT and AMC. Getting better, keep u the good work

  These nominations are as big a joke as the winners normally are. They are all subjective to whatever shows the judges watch. Who really cares. After reading all this, and the other sites dedicated to it, I am not only not watch live, but am cancelling the TIVO recording. These biased judges should be barred, as were the cheating French Skating judge.

  I just saw the nominations today and Im in absolute shock, to me GH had some of the best story lines this year, with the hotel drama and the ball and I just cant believe that their actors werent recognized, all of the abc actor were robbed.

  I am a diehard All My Children fan and I get upset year after year when they fail to get nominations. It has been quite a few years since AMC got any attention at the daytime emmys and there have been some amazing storylines since then (and some great performances). It seems like once Susan Lucci won there was no reason for them to pay attention to AMC anymore. I think that I lost faith in the emmys when Levin Ramblin failed to win for her portrayal of Lilly (a girl with autism) when she was nominated. It’s rigged!
