All My Children : Why Alexa Havins Left

Alexa Havins(ex-Babe Chandler) left as soon as her husband Justin Bruening(ex-Jamie) left All My Children. She gave SID the real reasons why she really left. She said that as an artist she wants to take advantage of opportunities and explore the vast amount of different roles out there. She was able to do a few stints outside All My Children but the show was unwilling to let her go for 6 weeks to do more. She loves AMC and the friends she’s met and especially the fans but as bittersweet as it was she decided to leave.
I think that’s understandable. Only a few Soap actors get the opportunity to do other things. Unfortunately, even though they’re the most talented in the acting craft, they’re also underrated in the business. So when a Soap actor finds that chance, I applaud them for grabbing onto it and making it work. I root for them. I’d miss them and want them back somehow but you know, we move on. Eventually :).
