General Hospital : March 17 Recap | Michael’s Downfall
Upon seeing his father, Michael tells him it was him who accidentally shot Kate. He ran away. But he told everything to his mother before the explosion. Now he’s telling his father what happens. He ran away as fast and as far as he can because of what his father told him to do if he’s ever caught holding a gun. What did Sonny say???
Paraphrased : “It’s ok, it’s ok. I am so glad you’re fine. I am soooo proud of you for coming forward”.
You know, sure I’m glad Michael is ok. But “I’m so proud of you…” will not be the words he’ll be hearing from me if he was my child. Sonny and Carly’s parenting skills are questionable. And I can’t believe the writers keep shoving it down our throats. Maybe it’s a build up to what Michael’s future will look like. I have to give Carly a little credit though coz before the explosion she made it clear that Michael will never be part of his Father’s world. The conviction in her eyes showed that that “talk” is not over yet. Until the damn bomb exploded.
Now Michael is being treated like he didn’t do anything wrong at all. Accident or not, he could’ve killed Kate. But Sonny is going to brush that aside, and the writers as well because the storyline will now go in a different direction. Sonny’s stupidity for blaming everyone else for Michael’s disappearance will come and bite him in the ass. Imagine that. More Mob retaliation awaits us. While Carly deals with possibly losing her unborn child.
If I was Michael’s parent I would’ve said:
“I’m glad you’re ok but you did a terrible thing and as soon as your scar is stitched up, we’re going home, we’re going to sit down and you will learn the rules. While you’re being stitched up, start thinking about good punishment you think you deserve for almost killing someone and for disobeying me by buying a gun and acting like a little thug. Oh btw, you can start saying goodbye to your TV, Radio, Playstation/Gameboy/XBox/Guitar Hero and all your video games”.
If you were Michael’s parents, would you have uttered the words from Sonny’s mouth or would you have said something else? Care to share?..

Before anything, I would have whooped his ass! I was glad to see Carly’s reaction once she found what happened. It’s almost as if the light turned on, her son could possibly be exactly like his father!
Michael is a product of both nature and nurture. He’s got all of his parents (including AJ) most horrible qualities. I get the feeling the story arch between he, Morgan, Christina, and even Molly will be crazy.
