Emmy’s Pre-Nomination Controversy

Fans are not happy about the Emmy’s Pre-Nomination List. Present company included. Soaps In Depth’s latest issue delved on the controversy and apparently a lot of fans are outraged about the exclusion of Trevor St. John(Todd Manning, OLTL) from the Best Actor’s list. Trevor has explained it in his official site that he didn’t submit himself but he thinks the ones who got the pre-nods from his show are great. Be that as it may, I think Trevor had a good material last year and he should’ve submitted himself but that’s OK. That’s his prerogative as an actor. As far as I’m concern he should be nominated every year, heh.

Meanwhile, Maurice Benard has spoken once again about the politics of the Emmy’s. He feels that if actors didn’t think they had a good material last year, then they shouldn’t submit themselves in the running. Which he feels strongly about his character, hence, he didn’t put himself out there. Furthermore, he thinks that Greg Vaughn has once again been overlooked. Twice now, as a matter of fact. I couldn’t agree more. Greg has been sooooo great in portraying a “destroyed” Lucky.

Official nominees will be announce on April 30th on The View. Please feel free to chime in about this Pre-Nom controversy. Don’t forget to cast your own votes in out SOA Emmy’s Super Fantasy List.
