All My Children Alumni : Justin Bruening In Knight Rider Screencaps
February 18, 2008 by Dexie
So of course I didn’t miss Justin Bruening as the new Knight Rider. I loved it. He is hot, the new Kitt is hot. The dialogue could be better but it’s Knight Rider. It’s supposed to be a bit cheesy. The story started with Kitt’s inventor who happens to be working for Pentagon was killed in his home. Some bad people wanted whatever he has to destroy the world.. ooohhh. Of course the baddest car that talks couldn’t let that happen. The Hoff, aka Michael Knight showed up in the end during his wife’s funeral to tell Mike Traceur(Justin) that he’s his father and he used to drive the original Kitt. Which then convinced Mike to work with the government to fight bad people. It was action packed and I’m hoping it gets picked up for a TV series. Here are a few screencaps from the 2 hour TV-movie.

By the way, Kitt’s creator wasn’t really dead. He had a double for protection. Of course. Kitt found his daughter in Stanford, then they found Mike in Las Vegas, gambling coz he owes people money, after spending time in the military. Sounds about right..LOL. I found it funny that they used Montecito as the casino since another NBC show, Las Vegas is that casino where fellow AMC alumni Josh Duhamel is these days. I think NBC was being a little cheeky :).
Val Kilmer is the voice of the new Kitt. And Kitt transforms. I loved how he turned purple so the bad guys wouldn’t catch them while they get out of Las Vegas. Some die-hard old Knight Rider fans have a problem with the voice, the car and everything else. I say, grow up and embrace the new century. If it stayed the same way as the original then we might as well travel to the past and stay there. You just can’t please everybody I guess.
Anyhoo, my husband and I loved it. We’re hoping NBC picks it up. Congratulations to Justin Bruening(ex-Jamie) for taking on such a role. Little Jamie ain’t so little anymore
. Interestingly enough, Jamie’s Dad on AMC, Tad Martin, is played by an actor named, Michael E. Knight. Freaking coincidence or what?

Justin is a trillion percent better than “The Hoff” and hotter!! I watched him on AMC and he did great there!! Good Luck Justin & Alexa his beautiful wife. She was the last bride on 27 dresses!!
