General Hospital : Liz, Robin and Company : The Self-Righteous

I’m not impressed at all with Liz’s speech about fatherhood to Patrick. A bunch of drunk women picking on Dr. Patrick. You know what, in an “ideal” world, sure Patrick and Robin having a baby is such a picture perfect scenario but listen witches, he doesn’t want a baby. So what if Robin thinks he could be a good father? Who is she to decide how Patrick will live his life.? Just because you don’t agree with his decision, that doesn’t give you the right to start ganging up on him. Sure, Robin’s dreams of holding a baby sounds lovely, but that’s not Patrick’s dream. Robin is a woman with plans, and because she’s such a catch, Patrick is an idiot to let it go. Maybe, but guess what, they’re not married. Patrick has no responsibility whatsoever to agree with whatever Robin decides. Accusing Patrick of being scared for commitment because he doesn’t want to be a father is downright stupid. Maybe the guy wants to get married first, how’s that? When did it happen that commitment as the next step while dating means jumping into parenthood? I’m not saying unmarried couple should get married first before having a baby. Not at all. But not being married gives Patrick the right to say no to the baby issue. I don’t know why but somehow that’s how it goes.

If the situation was reversed, Patrick will look like an asshole, either way. It’s BS in my opinions but “The Self-Righteous” gang will find a way to make it that way..

So, how about if it was Patrick who wants a baby and Robin doesn’t want to have children. Let’s say this , she’s got HIV so she’s thinking of the health issues. AND she’s just not ready or it’s not in her plans. If that was the case, if Robin got pregnant and decides she wants an abortion, she can very well go have one because it’s her body. No matter how Patrick fights to keep that child because he wants to be a father, Robin will get a say on everything. Why? Because it’s her body and it’s her life. And good for her. So to make Patrick look like an ass because he doesn’t want to be a father YET, maybe someday, is hypocritical and double-standard.

Besides, Liz’s speech about how some Men would love to be a father but couldn’t because of their past choices has nothing to do with Patrick. The truth of the matter is, Liz is pissed off because Jason is such a freaking coward for not stepping up. Sure Jason is agreeing with Liz’s decision to take Lucky up on still being Jake’s father to keep him safe is “admirable” but is not a brave move at all. That’s Liz’s problem. Truthfully, Liz wishes that Jason will step up and fight to the nail for Jake and her. she’d love to go and shake him because against all odds, she wants Jason to fight for his son and their “love”. But Jason won’t do that because no matter how much Jason looks like a hero in her world, he’s a coward. He’s only “heroic” because he’s carrying a gun all the time. At the end of the day, he’s a spineless, brainless, Sonny’s hired-puppet. That’s what Liz is frustrated about. Not the fact that Jason’s choices in life hindered his wishes to be a father. Nope. Liz is angry that her hero Jason can’t really function without a gun. That the man she’s loved since she was a teenager is THE one taking on the responsibility. For 2 kids that’s not even his. Lucky, the guy she’s letting go, the one her children are calling Daddy turned out to be the “real” father her children needs after all. But it’s too late. She’s ruined that part of her life completely. And that’s the truth. She knows it that’s why she’s projecting her frustration towards Patrick. She’s lucky Patrick is gentleman enough to just let her be and not tell her exactly what he thinks of her.

So get off your high-horses witches and leave the guy alone.
